  • We help Kentuckians who are at risk of homelessness or exploitation protect and manage their money.  Kept makes sure all basic household expenses are paid monthly and that individuals receive their funds in manageable increments so that food and personal items can be purchased throughout the month.

We follow federal and cash benefit reporting and asset limit guidelines to ensure individuals continue to receive their cash benefits. Individuals who require this support are suffering from substance abuse issues, mental illness, or significant physical or cognitive differences which prevent them from managing their own finances.

  • At Kept, we know that financial stability is not the only factor necessary to prevent houselessness and exploitation for those we serve. It is our desire for our clients to be housed and healthy, living independently with adequate supports in the community.  In the event that we have a client that is not connected to goods or services necessary to keep them housed and stable in the community, we will offer our Care Coordination services.

Our Care Coordinator will complete an assessment and care plan with measurable outcomes that result in a client connecting and engaging with a team of support.  I.E. medical care providers, mental health care providers, in-home caregivers, grocery delivery services, transportation services, prescription delivery services, clearing services, spiritual support, etc.

  • Conservatorship is when a court finds the ward fully disabled in managing his/her financial affairs and appoints a conservator who is responsible for financial or fiduciary affairs of the ward.

We are currently expanding in order to provide this support in 2023.

  • Guardianship is a legal relationship between a court-appointed adult who assumes the role of guardian for a ward. A ward is a person who has been declared legally disabled by the court and is no longer able to care for his or her personal and/or financial needs.

We are currently expanding in order to provide this support in 2023.

We have a 96% housing maintenance rate and have served 300+ people. Our goal is to help those we serve keep a positive balance and we have done just that by helping most our clients open their own savings account for the first time!
